A few weeks ago, Nike Toronto rolled out 19 Days of Unlimited, a series of sport and culture events aiming to push local athletes in unexpected ways. It celebrates the diversity the city has to offer as well as the drive of its athletes to continue to better themselves and their community.

I was able to attend a couple of the events and the energy was electrifying — as always. Unlimited Chinatown had everything from Dragon Dancers and trial shoes to posters and moon cake. The run itself included brief stop off points exposing us to historical facts about the beloved neighbourhood.

Unlimited Unleashed — the NTC counterpart to the local runs — also pushed those who came out. It didn’t hurt that Eva Redpath introduced Toronto’s first male Nike trainers, Jose Lopez and Josh Adamson. Set on my old campus, University of Toronto, we were taken through a challenging circuit that showed us what we were capable of.

For both Unlimited experiences, we were able to trial the latest Nike footwear innovations, which are available in some sick colorways.
