Over the last few months, I’ve been focusing on things that really matter to me. In this social media bubble a lot of us live in lately, it’s easy to get caught up in the more superficial side of the industry. Fun events, free product and incredible experiences distort reality and even though I’ve managed to make it my full time gig now — yes, for the last 3-4 months, I’ve fully transitioned into being a full-time independent blogger — I’ve quickly learned that I want even more creative control over the projects I’m working on.
Toronto is brimming with talent and vision
Founders is one of those passion projects. Working alongside David Bremang, founder of FoundMissing and Nike Toronto, we’ve put together a program celebrating art, culture and fashion in a grassroots sort of way. It’s undeniable. Toronto is brimming with talent and vision. Founders taps into well of potential.
Made up of painters, photographers, designers, musicians and more, Founders was created to inspire. I’m always looking to challenge myself and my boundaries, those part of the Founders are the same. Through unique and unexpected experiences created by myself, FoundMissing and Nike, we’ll help these artists find a new tonality to their craft and voice. Of course, what would be the point of such a project if it didn’t resonate with the community?
Throughout the next nine months, we’ll be holding public screenings to show you all what we’ve been doing, who our Founders are and why they are part of this project. They will share their insights in a way that will make you want to pursue your own passion. Are you ready?
