Last night was the first media run of the year and it felt amazing — in spite of my persistent head cold — to be back with my NRC fam. It didn’t hurt that I got to trial the new Nike LunarEpic FlyKnit 2s and Nike Zonal Strength Running Tights.
The shoes were immediately comfortable and supportive. Available in a mid cut, which I personally prefer, they had everything I’ve already become accustom to in Nike running footwear: breathability, stretch and support. Of course, one of their biggest selling points are the outersole’s laser-cut pods. Perfect for winter running, they offer multi-surface traction while lending themselves to a neutral, efficient stride.
As for the tights, they are probably the softest ones I own yet. Although they fit snugly thanks to all of its compression technology, the tights move with your body in a way that’s definitely like a second skin. The compression areas are specifically meant to target key muscle groups, reducing muscle vibration for an efficient workout.
I’m definitely going to run the hell out of these new products the rest of the winter going into spring. It’s good to be back.
