Toronto might be known for its diverse food scene, but when it comes to healthy options, the list is still fairly short. So it’s no surprise some areas of the city sorely lack restaurants catering to diners looking for delicious, nutritious meals.

Midtown is one of those areas.

That is, until Fresh opened up a location two years ago. A chain staple in the downtown core, this Yonge and Eglinton location has been fairly under the radar for many. And that’s a shame.

The interior of the Yonge-Eglinton Fresh is casually elegant with gorgeous chandeliers and rich colors that sets it apart from its sister spots. And though the menu is the same, the ambiance makes it feel even more special than it already is. Which was perfect as a few of us recently dined on Fresh’s cult classics to celebrate the second anniversary of the space as well as Ruth Tal’s latest cookbook, Super Fresh.
